Sprint Launches Palm Pixi

Sprint has unveiled its new brand Palm Pixi. The new webOS-powered smartphone from Sprint is a successor to the earlier Palm Centro series. Palm Pixi is made available at Sprint stores and Sprint.com. The phone is available from Sprint for $100 with two-year contract and after $100 rebate. However, new customers can get the phone for $50 or less from online retailers such as Amazon of WireFly and LetsTalk.com.

Some of the dazzling features of Palm Pixi are as follows,
- The Pixi has 2.63 inch multitouch screen with 320-by-400-pixel and runs the multi-tasking operating system WebOS. This feature enables to synchronize wirelessly with Facebook, Google and other online services.
- Palm Pixi flashes with LED and it has a resolution of 2.0 megapixels.
- It has a built in memory of 8GB and weighs 100g.
- It belongs to Network type of CDMA Dual band.
- Smartphone has OS (WebOS), and Processor (Qualcomm MSM7627).
- A predictive text input with QWERTY keyboard is available.
- Connectivity is acquired by means of Internet (HTML), USB (microUSB), Bluetooth (2.1, Stereo Bluetooth), and Connectors (HeadPhone Jack (3.5mm)).
- It is FCC approved with GSM facility.
- Other features include Phonebook (Capacity depends on system memory, Multiple Numbers Per Contact, Picture ID, Ring ID), PIM (Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO, Notes, Memo),and Voice (Dialing, Commands, Recording, Speaker Phone).
- Battery is of standard Li-Ion type with a talk time of 5 hours and stand-by time of 350 hours.
- Sprint has a luring highly-capable web browser, email software, and multimedia player.
