For Mumbai guys.Corby is available at strikingly low prices at Mobile store and Croma.Croma does not have Corby Mate yet but Mobile Store has it all.I am gonna buy it soon.I won’t go for the PRO or PLUS.The touch features are nice but those make the phone less durable and sensitive.Go for TXT or MATE.

samsung corby is a nice model… but i want some information about this mobile..
1) In all samsung mobile we can not see the picture continuesly.
2) in all samsung mobile we can not hear more then 30 songs at a time..
3) What about message group?
in all nokia mobile we can send msg to 10 members at a time.. is any option in this mobile like this?
The TXT has a very responsive UI. The lightweight OS makes the device easy to use and provides something good enough for basic users. FM radio, a decent camera, a 3.5mm audio jack and trendy looks at a price point of approximately Rs. 8000 is good for now. But the Nokia E63 (which I need not mention is a good smartphone with all the features that Corby TXT boasts) is available for Rs. 11000.
he Nokia 5230 / 5530 will also be hitting the shelves in a few weeks and the original Corby would also get a Nokia competitor. That’s a challenge for Samsung. For the moment if you are a basic user and looking to get a Corby TXT, make sure you are comfortable with the QWERTY keypad

guys i bought the corby pro 2 days back..the phone is awesome….no issues at all…..it simply rocks….i suggest to go for corby pro and not corby plus cause plus has an internal memory of only 30mb which is not sufficient for web browsing….whereas pro has internal memory of 100mb

Hi all, 2 days back i bought corby pro, an excellent phone in this cost. i explored many of the featurers. wifi is ok, camera with 3.2mp super. audio and video supported formats are many and working with all. i tried 3rd party applications too. opera mini is faster than in built dolphin browser. gps function superb. i couldn-t try 3g since no network support here.
yes you can install .jar files from java………but not sis or sisx files…ofcourse opera mini is supported even you can try forefront or mozilla jar browsers for this phone

Hi, You need to copy all the jar files on the Phone memory, then you can install them, then it will not show the error message as Unsupported format.
hi budy its not a jr file problem i think u have created three files .jar,.jad,.html and u r using html to install application then u got error
so u try to install directly kjar file u wont get any error

At first my internet application didn’t open. . . it said “not enough memory unable to launch application” even though i had 400 mb free on my mem card and 80 mb free on my phone memory. . . and now i cannot even browse through pictures or play any games. . . . Hi everyone…like everyone over here i too fell in love with Corby Pro and purchased it this month. Its got really cool look and feel and can surely turn heads in your direction wherever you are, thats the story on the outside.
But there lies many problems… like installing applications.. always give error as unsupported file formats (.jar,.jad)
The Kies Pc software S***s!!!!… its damn slow and hangs…
While browsing internet using the default browser it takes hell lot of time to get connected and even gets disconnected while browsing…its quite frustrating…. am not able to install Opera mini also
I dont know what to do… Plz anyone who knows how to solve these problems help me…..Otherwise this superb phone will be just be a showpiece, without any use…

friends i suggest u not to buy this phone espcially if u r technospianguy.
phone doesnt supports third party software, and u can play video files ofonly 3gp and mp4 format and nothing els, the net surfing is damn slow. keypad qulity is poor , it skips many words while typing.
almot all application d not rotate . battry is no good jst average.keypad sucks, very poor , infact frstrating! u wnt b able t install any sftware. the draback list continus. dnt go for looks of phn bcoz once u start using it will surly get frutrted!
Madhukar, this phone is not an apple I-phone replacement. I think, its perfomance/price is high good performance with this price. It is not true comparison with an i-phone. And keypad is more comfortable than other keypad based mobil phones especially nokia’s phones.

I’m using this phone for last 8 days. I’m satisfied with this phone in case of price and specification. I mainly use this for mailing purpose. The only negative point which it do not have copy paste facility and the application installation issue. We can install the application using the HTML Script but it will be installed in the GAME folder and we cannot use that application properly means we cannot use the installed program in landscape when we open the QWERTY. It will be a difficult task.
On other side I’m satisfied with this phone. Samsung need to release some new firmware for this phone which can use copy paste the text at least using the touch screen.

Please read the comment of rohan arora that is 100 % true .i bought a pro on 17nd jan got the software crrupted on 18th of jan took it to service centre and they dont have latest firmware for the phone and the corrupted the entire phone was dead somehow after writing to the md of samsung I got replaced .but their propreitry software does’nt allow anything to be done youtube widget given but you cant watch youtube because there is no flash player installed and you cannot install a third party flash player on a java phone. you have a feature rich phone but you cant use anything .Its like a beautiful girl without a polo (A mint with a —-)

1. if you are listening to a song starting with ‘s’ and if you are looking for another song starting with ‘s’ and if u hit the playlist button, the playlist displays from the begining. and also after some days
2.the slide panel becomes loose after some days

samsung pro is an excellent phone and very easy to use .only they should have put a good camera with flash for better picture quality,rest every thing in corby is cool.now for games guys there is always a play station.i suggest you guys go in for it ,battery life is also fine .

in ur comp make a new text file, and it it type.. install application.jar
..with the word ‘application’ replaced with the name of the .jar file
..then save the text file n change its extension from .txt to .html
..send it to ur phone..run it..n click on the link dis html file maks n Ur done!!..

I just got the phone a month back. Its features are pretty good but a bit slow. I was very happy with it until a week back when the speaker (regular) stopped working all of a sudden. I couldn’t hear the calls and had to use the hands-free or the speaker phone. As this had happened in less than a month, I placed complaint at Samsung, to which they redirected me to the nearest service-center. When I got there I was shocked to know that I was not the only one facing the problem. There was long list of people facing issues with their Samsung phones, the table in the service center was full with all the different corbys, a few of them were corby-pros. Upon investigation the engineer at the center informed me that mine was the third case with the similar problem, most of the others had problems with the batteries and that this was caused because of the sliding keyboard of the phone. I anyways got it fixed and it seems to be working fine now, but then again you never know what might happen.
I bought it from CROMA, Malad, Mumbai for 11,280/-.
I would suggest you guys to rethink before buying it.
I have put my case and thoughts in-front you all, the final decision is yours.

Bakwass Phone. We can no play you tube videos and even doesnt support yahoo properly. i called samsung customer care and they said yahoo must be a heavy site thats why it can not open it.

i have purchased corby plus, following are the disadvantages:
1. limited phone memory(20mb) that is where you can install applications.
2. video resolution 320*240, though the videos can’t be seen in full screen in a 2.6 inch screen.
3. when ever radio fm is playing the phone works very slow.
4. does not support pdf’s( software used is touchwiz 1.0 as per my knowledge as no collabaration with the adobe company). even after these many limitations, the phone has a sexy look which covers the most.
what is “caleed PUTTY”???
I like corby por but it is very limits like no copy or cut paste facility, no chance for selection of text only inbox is available for yahoo or gmail. front camera is only for vedio calls

hi there.. i am a samsung corby plus user, though i have been using samsung phones for ther past 5 years (no relation to any top notch samsung official
). initially the transition from nokia to samsung was difficult, but once i got used to it, it was smooth sailing from then on.
agreed that samsung phones are not that that user friendly as the nokia one, but that is primarily because samsung phones are java based while nokia follows its age ols symbian based operating system. (c’mon guys just be honest- i didint find any differnece betweena 6600 and n series models…all used the same os which is, needless to say very boring)
coming back to corby pluas- in short,it’s a great phone.
it doesnt have 3rd party software installation facilities and neither does it have a lot of internal memory…but then again the looks r sim[ply stunning and the keypad along with touch screen availability is excellent show-off (younsters of age bracket 18-26 will love this). coming t the touch, i guess, nay, i believe that samsung’s touch is way better than nokia. its so smooth as if you didnt feel any effort going into it. its palringo application is good as well.
but if you can tweak up your pocket a bit, go in for corby pro- it’s got wi-fi, 3.5g, among other goodies and its just under 10k.

What r u guys saying… Samsung Corby phones really suck!!! It has nothing in it except for the qwerty keypad.. The OS is terrible , we cannot install any themes, we cannot install any games more than 750KB of size, and there is only one stupid motion sensor game given in my Corby Pro and there are no other supported games, its internet sucks.. very very slow, if I install about 10 applications the phones touch feature gets very slow a lot of times.. lot of people have huge trouble watching Youtube Videos although I never had any problem. We cannot open ebooks more than 28MB of size.. There is no flash in the 3.2Mpxl camera so pics in the dim light do come that good. Even if I connect my Samsung Corby pro with Wifi in my house at 2Mbps speed, the internet in the Corby works like a dial up and the inbuilt dolphin browser is pathetic
Guyz the phone only looks good from outside, it is the worst of the kind for 10000 rs, do not buy this phone unless u r obsessed with Samsung. Instead go for Nokia or some android phones. They are worth a lot better.
