| LG Electronics has announced its new challenger LG GW820 on December 1,2009. The LG eXpo is a business-oriented smartphone, running the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. It packs features we do not see very often in cell phones like a detachable pico projector and a fingerprint sensor.
The eXpo also sports a 3.2-inch screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Now let us check out the few of its expected specifications. • It is a 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100) enabled handset. • The size of the main display is 3.2 inches with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. • It features TFT resistive touch screen, full QWERTY keyboard, an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, and it glows with 16mn effective colors. • LG eXpo is outfitted with 5MP camera with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and it features autofocus, LED flash, and VGA video. • It runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with a 1GHz speed up processor Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250. • It facilitates predictive input, speakerphone, vibrating alert type, and MP3 ring tones. • LG GW820 eXpo has a extendable microSD memory card slot of up to 16 GB and it can hold phone books and call records, which has a practically unlimited entries and fields. • It connects through GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps), EDGE (Class 10, 236.8 kbps), 3G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11b/g), Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP), and USB (v2.0 microUSB). • The other features of LG GW 820 eXpo is messaging (SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, IM, Push Email), browser (WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML), games, GPS (A-GPS support), and java application. • LG eXpo has a unique smart sensor fingerprint recognition, Pocket Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, OneNote, and PDF viewer), organizer, photo editor, and voice memo. • It has a standard battery, Li-Po 1500 mAh. |
