How do you make your phone number unknown to other people?
i was wondering if anyone new how to make your mobile number unknown when you call other people, i dont think you put 67 in front of it because i live in the india. can anyone help?
*67 is for ppl in usa .,,,,

wht is it for ppl living in india?

i want to call ppl n they shouldnt know that its me like it should show unknown number even if they have my contact in their phone..

and i use blackberry 9000

    First, one has to apply to the mobile service provider company to activate CLIR i.e Caller ID Restriction facility to your number. In India this is very very difficult as you need clearance from Police and Home Department to activate this. They will verify the need behind this and if they are totally satisfied with your necessity to start CLIR then only they give clearance.

    This is difficult to get as if number remains unknown to the caller Mafia and underworld will start calling their targets and ask for ransom, without being known to the other end. This will add to law and order problem.

    Once clearance is given and CLIR facility is activated you have to turn on option of ” Do not show my identity ” option in call settings. Remember this setting wouldn’t work unless supported and activated by the mobile service provider.
