Tata Docomo launches Samsung Galaxy in India

Tata Docomo rocking in tariff war has now deviated to open its new innings in the Smartphone world.  It has gained the competence to challenge the big players in India by launching the Android powered Samsung Galaxy (I7500) handset in India.

This phone features only Android version 1.5 and not the latest version but it comes handy with the Google turn by turn GPS navigation app.

Specifications:

  • Samsung Galaxy (I7500) network is powered by Quad Band 850/900/1800/1900, 3G Band 900/1900/2100, EDGE/GPRS, and Android.
  • It has a 8.12cm (3.2″) HVGA 16M AMOLED display with the dimensions of 115 x 56 x 11.9mm.
  • It has a 8GB internal memory and also with an expandable memory up to 32GB.
  • The phone is featured with 5Mp autofocus camera with LED flash, video player (3GP/MPEG4), video recording (H.263/MPEG4), and multi-format audio player (MP3/AMR/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+).
  • Galaxy has connectivity through GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
  • The battery is of 1500 mAh type and offers a talktime of 7.5hrs along with the standby time of 390 hrs.
  • Samsung Galaxy comes with preloaded applications such as Google Maps / Google Talk and Android Market / Gmail / YouTube.
