Aircel seeks to blow up Net work connections in India

Aircel Ltd., an Indian mobile operator which bags net add of 2.01 million subscribers in October 2009 plans to expand its network countrywide.  It supposes to spend $5.5 billion over the next three to five years to swathe the country.

Aircel currently covers 18 areas, known as circles, and plans to expand its services to all 23 circles in India by the middle of next year.

The company has revealed that it has $3.5 billion of funds and the remainder will come from shareholders including Binariang GSM Sdn.
