iPhone to cost @ Rs. 31000

This may be a shocking news for the iPhone lovers who are eagerly waiting for the D-day, August 22nd, for the iPhone’s official launch in India.  TOI reports that 8GB version of iPhone will be cost around Rs.31000 while 16GB version will be around Rs. 36,000 – 37,000 in India.  This is not an official confirmation however no one in India can digest if it is true. It is very clear that both the players, Vodafone and Apple, is waiting for the other to come out with the price and the package details. But on a customer perspective, it is highly annoying that these players are keeping the price so secretive even before 10 days of launch.

By the way, if you ask me whether it would be worth to spend Rs. 31,000 for iPhone, my answer is  definitely not. Existing models like Nokia N71, Samsung TouchWiz and HTC Touch diamond has almost all features of iPhone (Nokia N71 lacks touch) with its own additional features and are available at much cheaper cost than the reported 31K. Also as the unlocked iPhones are already available at lower rate, I’m sure and wish the news as not true.
