Reliance Launches Pay Per Second Plan

India’s second-largest mobile services provider, Reliance Communications (RCOM) has premeditated to instigate its “Pay Per Second” plan on November 5, 2009. Followed by the launch of Simply Reliance Plan in October which was very well received in the market, both by customers and trade. It has started yet another innings in the tariff war to prove its competence.

To favor its consumers it has formulated the plan to quench their needs in three distinct segments. Reliance Communication will launch new tariff variants under its Simply Reliance Plan. The offerings made under Simply Reliance Plan emphasis chiefly on, No Conditions, No Monthly Recharge & Any Network Anytime.

Some of its benefits are sketched as follows,

  • Reliance will offer 1paisa/second single call rate, for short duration callers.
  • It will bid Re 1 for 3 minutes call rate, for long duration callers and it will continue offering 50p/Minute tariff rate for those with standard call duration.

These plans are available across both its CDMA and GSM networks. Simple Reliance will roll out with single rate benefit to,

  • All Local and STD calls to any CDMA or GSM Mobile and Landline anywhere in         India.
  • Keeps all incoming and outgoing calls while roaming anytime at day or night.
  • There is no monthly or hidden charges and also no conditions.

Detailed Layout of Reliance Pay Per Second Plan:

The competition charge is 1 paisa and 1.20 paisa for Local calls on same network and Local calls on different network respectively but 50 paisa for Local calls on same network and 60 paisa for Local calls on different network under 50paisa/minute plan.

The competition rate on STD Call on same network is 1 paise under 1paisa/second plan whereas 50paisa under 50paisa/minute plan.

For Reliance mobile it is 1paisa/sec for STD Call on others Network and the competition charge is 1.25paisa, under 50paisa/minute plan the competition rate is 60paise.

Roaming charges for incoming calls for both the plan is Re 1/Min, but for outgoing Re 1/Min for local call and Re 1.50 / Min for STD call under 1paise/Second Plan. Whereas it is Re 1/Min (Local) and Re 1.50 / Min (STD) under 50paisa/minute plan.

In Reliance mobile the SMS local is 50Paise but the competition rate for both the plans is Re 1, but for the Reliance mobile the SMS National is 50paise  but the competition rate for both the plans is Re 1.50.

Reliance Communications expects that with this launch customers across India may appreciate their  efforts for offering this simple and transparent tariff on all local, STD and roaming calls.
