Bharti Airtel, Country’s leading mobile service provider, today announced that it will launch the much expected next generation phone, iPhone 3G on August 22. However no details are available about the price and the price details are expected to be available in a week time.

According to the company’s press release, customers can purchase iPhone 3G at Airtel Relationship Centers after the launch. But as the demand will be very high in the initial few days,  we are expecting that the company will deliver the phones based on the order of bookings done in their website. http://www.airtel.in/iphone3g/

Vodafone, another carrier who is also bringing Airtel to India is yet to announce the launch date officially. However earlier reports based on close sources, confirmed that the company will bring iPhone a week ahead of Airtel and on 18th August.
