Its Official: Nokia launches N97 Mini

At the keynote session of the first day of
Nokia World 09, Nokia has officially confirmed the launch of Nokia N97 Mini. Rumors has been around for quite sometime about the compressed version of Nokia N97, the most successful Nokia model of date is finally confirmed by the Finnish mobile giant.
Nokia N97 Mini is coming up with new interface and OVI maps. Unlike N97 which has 32 GB internal storage support, Nokia N97 Mini has only 8 GB internal storage. Nokia N97 Mini comes with QWERTY keyboard and a smaller 3.2-inch HD (640×360 pixels) resolution touchscreen display.
Nokia N97 mini is the first Nokia device comes with “Lifecasting with Ovi”, enables users to update their Facebook status directly from the handset’s homescreen. Location details can also be updated and thus takes the social networking from mobile device to a new level.
Nokia N97 mini comes with the same 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash and autofocus feature as its big brother Nokia N97. Nokia N97 mini supports 12 hours of talk time and 27 hours of Music playback. The 8GB internal memory can be expanded upto 24 GB with an additional external microSD card of 16GB.
Nokia N97 mini is priced at EUR 450 (Rs. 31,000 approx) and will be available at European stores from next month. Launch details in India is yet to to be announced. Keep watching this space.
