Hot on heels is the new Nokia 5230, an entry-level touchscreen handset unveiled by Nokia in the Indian market for the first time. Surprisingly Nokia didnt brand this handset as XpressMusic or NSeries phone. Nokia 5230 sports a 3.2 inch widescreen touch display with a full screen QWERTY keyboard and handwriting recognition to rattle out messages. The available custom colors for the Nokia 5230 are black and white for the front panel and red, pink, blue, yellow, silver and dark silver for the rear covers.

Harmonizing with speedy HSDPA connectivity, it allows you to stay in the loop and keep your Facebook and Twitter updated. Ovi Store is nestled neatly on the homescreen from the moment you switch on the device, ensuring you can get instant anywhere access to quality bite-size apps. Other features of the 5230 include assisted-GPS with Ovi Maps, 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0, social networking integration such as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.

Being a music lover, Nokia 5230 gives you 33 hours of playback time (a long battery life), a 3.5mm headphone jack and memory expandable up to 16GB via a microSD card.

Nokia will launch two versions of the phone, a standard device will cost approximately at Rs. 10,000 and the music version at the rate of Rs. 19,000. Both the models are expected to be launched around October this year.
