[FirstLook] Samsung Marine – India’s first outdoor phone

India’s leading Mobile phone provider, Samsung has announced the launch of its new phone, Samsung Marine (B2100) in the Indian market. The company claims the phone as the India’s first outdoor phone, as the phone incorporates outdoor features (like external noise reduction, external loud speaker, flash light etc) and robust durability .

Samsung Marine which is encased in anti-shock urethane material, is built to withstand the bumps, bangs, scrapes and even withstand dust and water. It Featurs the IP57 certification and provides perfect outdoor mobile experiences while supporting dust protection and water protection (under up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes). The Handset is adaptable for even the toughest environment including rain, fog, humidity, sand and extremely hot and cold temperatures, etc and is tested under specifications defined by the US Department of Defence with Military Standard 810F (MIL-STD-810F).

The handset also features built-in camera, camcorder, FM radio, a music player and expandable memory up to 8GB. The phone is available in two colors – Red and Green and is priced at Rs. 7030.
