Nokia announces the launch of Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and Nokia E72

Finnish based mobile giant, Nokia has today announced the launch of Nokia 5530 Xpressmusic and Nokia E72 phones. Nokia 5530 Xpress Music, which resembles its sibling, Nokia Xpress 5800, a lot, this cheaper version upholds almost every feature of the earlier version- using the touch interface and is the affordable handset for the mid-tier customers and fills the slot of an alternative for iPhone. The handset has a 2.9inch widescreen display, a 4GB memory card, Edge/ Wi-Fi (through Boingo Wireless) to surf the web pages, user interface enabling 20 contacts, email, photos or media updates. Nokia believes that the successful launch of 5800 Xpress Music (selling 2.6 million handsets in the first quarter) has paved the way for this secondary handset and is expected to roll on in the third quarter.
Nokia is on the good spirits to announce the launch of an upgraded version of E71 called E72. With QWERTY, the E72 has a 5 megapixel camera, a standard 3.5 mm audio jack, an improved interface, instant messaging via Nokia Messaging. E72 will roll on in the third quarter along with 5350 Xpress Music.

NOKIA 5530 MUSIC EXPRESS LAUNCH DATE IS 10 OCT 2009
It is already 10th october n it hasn’t been launched yet !
It now almost confirmed that Nokia will NOT release this phone in India in near future. Even the Nokia dealers have no clue about this phone release date.
In Nokia.co.in for Diwali offers Nokia 5530 phone is not included but all the other phones are included.

All these days I was waiting for this phone, but no more waiting. It is time to say good bye to Nokia and look for another brand with similar features.

acc to the nokia care this phone will be launced after diwali n most probably the date is 24th oct. not sure abt the date but mostly…. waiting for d phone eagerly!!!!
I heard that nokia is discontinuing 5800, so maybe launching 5530 after that .

How can one company put forward its product in Diwali without launching it. There are some bugs in the latest software hence, company still searching & revised the software to remove that bugs from Nokia 5530. So, wait & watch it must be release after sometime. Even, nokia 5530 model is still in “New released model” on Nokia web site.
Nokia 5800 is available @ Rs. 14,000 in INDIA hence, price tag of Nokia 5530 is bit lower than that because nokia 5530 is bit lower version of nokia5800 but still the price is not fix, even its cheap in USA @ $250 including all tax.
Hence, Wait & Watch ..you must be get it in your hand before Jan 2010.

It gets hanged once in a day
Nokia 5530 is still not officially available in any of the Nokia stores or its dealers. But other Nokia phones that were introduced after the introduction of 5530 is available in market.
I have been visiting different Nokia stores and contacting Nokia officials and non of them are giving any specific date for its release and they are not telling the reason for its delay.
Day by day I am getting really angry towards Nokia’s inability to release this phone in India while this phone is available in all other countries.

I received a call from Nokia Distributor in Bangalore and he said Nokia 5530 is officially available for sale.
But its cost is around Rs.13000/-.

hiiii @santo i m also very angry about the delay of this phone..but evryone is saying that it wil be launched near end of the feb 2010…but some are saying that it will be launched on 15th feb..i m confused and still waiting for that phone…:(

here in blore, its 12.400 .. . . . nokia 5800 is 13500… i thousand difference… what do u think is better off ? for gps and wifi , u get 5800 for another 1 thousand extra…
