Samsung launches 3 touchphones in India – Samsung Star, Beat DJ and Star 3G
To facilitate the consumers with more choices, Samsung has added three more models to its touchscreen ranges- Samsung Star, Beat DJ and Star 3G. This will make the tally to 7 with four models already in use. Samsung Star (S5233) is compact in size, with slim outlook measuring 11.9mm; has a 7.63cm WQVGA full-touch screen, TouchWiz user Interface along with mobile widgets; Photo Contact feature enables call at a single touch of an image; stylus is also there for trouble free operation. The handset also has a 3.2 megapixel camera aided by smile recognition, support for multi-format playback and DNSe; there is a Gesture Control to unlock the Touchscreen; support for 50MB internal memory expandable to 8GB.
Samsung Star 3G is the one offering complete internet browsing feasibility(aided by an accelerometer sensor); possesses entire range of features found in S5233 but the camera has the Power LED Flash and the internal memory is 80MB.
BEAT DJ carries DISC user interface, to preload voice samples and sound effects; has a 2.8’ AMOLED touchscreen display (240 x 400 pixels having 16 million colors) and has 50MB internal memory microSD card (expandable upto 16GB)
