MMA launches Indian local council

The Indian mobile market, noted for its unstinted growth with already 380 million users, is fortunate enough to have a deal with the US concern Mobile Marketing Association. The deal will manifold all the mobile ecosystem in a single floor. The US company foresees a potential growth in the Indian market which has a wider economic reach, viability and a base to wipe out the conventional mass media. The MMA Asia Pacific’s official expressed his hopes that the Indian market will envisage a new horizon in the mobile marketing wherein apt guidelines will float. The Indian body, MMA India Local Council consists of 34 members of which the prominent being Google, Yahoo! India, Hungama, Microsoft, Group M, Active Media, Affle, Buongiorno, Indiagames, ThomsonReuters, Quaser, mKhoi, Maui, Valeufirst, AdMob, Mobile2win, Nokia, Vodafone, Coca Cola, NetCore Solutions and Tata Teleservices.

The set-up of this Council is with two elected co-chairs to represent to MMA Regional Leadership Committee. The CEO of MMA has been pinching on the hope that the Asia Pacific region seems to reflect much potential in the mobile market which no other region seems to possess. The MMA’s poser will be to offer sustainable ecosystem, region-wide consultation on key industry issues like measurement and metrics, codes of conduct and consumer practices
