Keeping the low track of response to 3G Jadoo by the Delhites, the MTNL has made a second thought to put off the launch in Mumbai to May. According to the operator, the feedback from the customers has forced it to wait till net penetration to the market. MTNL introduced this service to the select segments of Delhi in February hoping to scalp more customers nearly 150000, but much to its dismay the customers disappointed the operator (with just 500 users responding) and hence this postponement. MTNL still hopes that the condition will change in next two or three months. As per the earlier launch, the Jadoo service is charged activation charges @Rs500 + taxes and monthly rental of Rs599. The call charges are @ 60 paise for calls within MTNL and Re1 for other networks with the STD and ISD charges under the plan preferred by the users. For video calls, between MTNL is Rs1.80 and for other networks Rs3./ For STD voice calls it is Rs3.75 and Rs30 for ISD voice calls.
