The much awaited Indian Premier League matches have been undergoing several rights issue and Zenga, a no unpopular VAS concern, has acquired the rights for mobile content for the next five years. Licensed from TMT Investment Pte Ltd, ( authorized holder of NetLinkBlue) the streaming and mobile rights has been awarded for 10 years for $50 million. There has been a talk in the air about this rights amount similar to the web rights.

The deal is clear that the license granted to TMT through NetLinkBlue has been for India, Pakistan and Middle East but the hot debate over global rights is still on. It is to be recollected that for American rights, Willowtv got the nod wherein 75% of them had been dealt by Reliance BIG Entertainment. To be precise, Zenga has two projects on cricket – Zenga TV portraying live video streaming with 2G networks and the other one Crick Zenga, a live ball-by-ball coverage, in competition to other cricket websites like Cricinfo or CricketNext, which deal with latest scorecards only
