Send free SMS from AOL mail and IM
AOL India, an online portal which was recently launched and yet to reach the mass, is now allowing users to send SMS to any mobile in India for free from their email and IM application. The service supports popular services including Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone, MTNL and Spice.
Users have to add the mobile number in their buddies list in the AOL mail interface or AOL IM application and send unlimited SMS for free. Receivers can also reply back to the SMS and continue to chat.
Though the free SMS option is not a new one in India as there are already n number of service portals are providing this option, AOL’s intergration with email and IM seems to be a nice initiative.
