The search engine monger Yahoo has tasted the sweetness of the Indian mobile market and is on the verge of spreading out the indigenous operations to suit the Indian mobile industry. Yahoo is on the way of exploring the obstacles that would prevent the vigorous growth the mobile internet and is searching the all out possibilities to make a definite solution. The company is set to focus on the major avenues of the internet like music, cricket, movies, news, fashion and entertainment.

With an average 8 million new entries into the telecom subscription the internet expansion will be prosperous, as the study by Nokia-TNS revealed that mobile internet is gaining momentum on par with the desktop web browsing(2.4 days vs 2.7 days). Further, the survey points out that the usage by mobile customers for information about a new product is 28% compared to the conventional web of 27%. Based on these promising aspects, Yahoo is contemplating to sweep the mobile internet in tune with the Indian needs, either with the existing ones or with the beta testing products, said the company official. Yahoo is already in the air with its Yahoo Glue, known for media galore – images, video and blogs to standard text results – set in the Indian context much earlier to the global access. The company official further said that Yahoo has got much in store for the Indian customers, apart from maps and walking directions in multilingual modes.
