BSNL IPTV in Andhra Pradhesh
BSNL Andhra Pradhesh would launch triple-play(IPTV) services in Hyderabad to provide cable television, Internet and telephone through the regular telephone wire by September. BSNL calls this service as triple – play. The pricing and the television channel offerings in the triple-play would be announced soon. Initially, BSNL’s triple play would comprise 50 television channels. While state owned service providers such as BSNL and MTNL have started launching these services. MTNL for instance offers almost 100 TV channels on its IPTV platform in Delhi and Mumbai. Other service providers such as Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and HFCL Infotel are also slated to launch IPTV services soon. Bharti has partnered with Cisco for IPTV services, which will be launched by December 2007. In Asia, IPTV is presently available in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, and is expected to be launched on a mass scale in India and the Philippines in 2007.

Hutch has announced the introduction of new bonuscards for its prepaid customers in Andhra Pradesh.On purchase of cards with different denominations, a subscriber gets an additional Hutch to Hutch talk-time depending on the value of the card.

Univercell in Andhra:
Mobile retailer UniverCell plans to open 100 new stores in south India by the end of September and is also looking for a pan-India presence. The Chennai-headquartered firm currently has 49 stores in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It opened seven stores in Bangalore on 19thAugust. Univercell which offers mobile phones, accessories and connections, plans to have 40 stores each in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and 10 in Kerala

Mobile Magic India is planning to set up1,000 stores across India by the end of the decade. Around 11 brands of handsets as well as accessories, applications, ringtones and games are sold at its 60 stores. By 2009, 250 stores will be set up in southern India, with Bangalore the hub for operations, targeting Rs 10,000 crore in the region.
