Nokia to integrate Skype in its devices

It’s time for Nokia to feed itself with Skype and the integration will be on select pieces, beginning with N97. The objective of injecting Skype into Nokia devices is to redefine the address book, so that the users can identify the online contacts of Skype. For the beneficial free Skype to Skype voice calls, there is an utility of 3G and WiFi. With the trial on N97 slated for the third quarter, Skype will find place in other models soon.

Nokia has devised the latest N97 devices with the built-in Skype and the older versions will be installed with this Skype through a software upgradation. The Skype functionalities such as Skype contacts, Chat, VoIP and Presence will be loaded in other models gradually. The Chief Operating Officer of Skype remarked that the loading of Nokia devices with this Skype will be a beneficial aspect for the users for easy accessibility and simple utility. The new customers will enjoy the Skype with the OS of Symbian 60, he further said. The VP of Nokia N Series has a commendation about this integration that 400 million Skype users worldwide have the advantage of entering into a quite new experience in the Internet, migrating from the desktop to the mobile computer. Skype assures better utility and the enhanced level of integration, as a built-in application.
