And what is so special with this Walkman phone?? Now, hear this, it is gonna please you if sharing things with friends mean a lot. W595 is equipped with stereo speakers and the interesting “share jack” which you can plug in two headsets simultaneously, so you can listen to music with a friend. So, just check out your package to find the share jack. Indeed, as a music phone, this is a real amusement.

Fine, despite this speciality, let’s get on to see what it really holds for us. Sony Ericsson W595 features a 2.2inch bright display screen, FM radio, 3.2 megapixel camera, and bundled with a 2GB Micro(M2) Memory Stick.

Style: Slider

Color Variants: Lava Black, Jungle Grey, Active Blue, Cosmopolitan White (feminine genre). A mid -range phone available in four colors is a cool feature to choose your style.

DESIGN

W595 is a nicely styled slide phone with a tapered top edge and a smooth slide action. It’s an excellent size – not superslim, but compact and good to hold. As a Walkman phone, it has music controls featured prominently when the slide is closed. The keypad is easy to use, despite the keys being a touch small, and it has an easy-to-use circular navigational key.

Has a bright and vibrant QVGA display with excellent layout and icons that are eminently readable

The Music part of the W-Phone:

The W595 is a great music phone. The Walkman player is the latest version 3.0. You can create and manage playlists, shuffle songs, equalise, etc, and album art can be displayed when music is playing.

* The supplied software lets you transfer music from PC to phone, and rip music from CD’s.

* The W595 has excellent audio quality, either through the loud stereo speakers, or via a conventional stereo headset or a Bluetooth stereo headset.

* The MegaBass feature helps to enhance bass frequencies for a fuller sound. In addition to the music player, there’s an FM radio with RDS.

* “Shake Control” that lets you change to a new track by giving the phone a flick.sony_ericsson_w595_1

* TrackID Recognition feature is no doubt featured in W595.

* Then, there is ‘SensMe’ technology which picks tracks based on your mood.

* Video capture quality is averagely ordinary for a phone.

MISCELLANY

There is motion sensor feature that auto-rotates between portrait and landscape viewing of photos. Has an impressive 3.6Mbps HSDPA connection for fast Web browsing and downloading. The W595 uses the NetFront web browser, which displays mobile optimised Smart-Fit views of pages or full rendering, plus pan and zoom options for navigating pages. The quad band W595 will function in all countries you visit. With a native YouTube application, you can upload any videos you shoot directly to Google’s video sharing site.

As a phone, it packs good number of features to raise its level as a gorgeous mid-range competitor. If style and functionality are what you expect, then W595 gives it optimum output. Check out your stores.

Pros: 3.2 MP camera upgrade,Ease of use, Dual headphone jack,

Cons: No flash in camera, Lack of headphone socket.
