Kolkota BSNL reduces broadband tariffs
The Kolkatta based Calcutta Telephones has got some glad news for its circle with the slash on the unlimited broadband service. The offer is applicable for both domestic and business plans, said the CGM. The revised tariff is Rs500 (from Rs750) for home plan and Rs1400(from Rs3300) for business plan. As a promoting effort of web conferencing, this is already preceded by BSNL’s similar services in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur and Ranchi.
The Communication experts predict that the success of such launch will lead to complete installation all over the country, in another two / three months. BSNL has made it clear that the reduction in tariff is for broadband subscribers of Calcutta circle, which has 1.9 lakh subscribers and BSNL’s net subscribership of broadband in the country is over 30 lakh.
