IDBI offers to Mate with it for Payment
IDBI bank has at last come out with a solution for the mobile users with a Payment mode relief – Paymate. As with the regular job, the mobile users of IDBI wing can make this facility not only for mobile billing but also for all payments including movie tickets, restaurant bills, flight tickets, mobile recharger, telemarketing, online purchases and retail shopping. The facility is currently available in 13,000 Paymate registered outlets in India. The facility, made easy with a secured 2 factor PIN authentication over IVR and the PIN is not liable for storing in the phone, which secures the other people to track of it. The facility is effective even without GPRS or SIM change. The crown of it all is that the IDBI customers need not spend even a single paise for these services.
The operation of Paymate
The IDBI customer has to register, at free of cost, for the Paymate mobile payment service at any of the IDBI branches. (the bank claims that the registration facility will soon be extended to ATMs and Netbanking). As soon as the registration is over, the customer’s mobile number gets linked to the IDBI bank account of the same customer followed by the intimation of a secured PIN number (m-PIN) by which the customer can initiate the transaction. The mode of Paymate is: the customer enters into transaction through Paymate, by disclosing the mobile number with the merchant and an IVR call will be made to the customer from Paymate, by which the authentication will be effected with a 4 digit mPIN. The customer has to punch the mPIN afterwhich the authentication by Paymate will be effected thereby leading to the amount being debited. After the transaction, the confirmation report will be sent to the customer through an SMS and to the merchant by way of Paymate interface. All in the matter of few seconds. A convenient Payment from Paymate indeed.
