SMS Spam Manager : an Official Vigil on SMS Spam

Here comes a solution by means of SMS Spam Manager, the most sought after feature to relieve you from this menace. Further, junk SMSs could also be blocked with this Manager. The mode of operation for this feature is to tune the phone with 4 varied modes and from among 6 different filters. The options are from the following:

(i) For “Accept all” (inactive),there is a possibility to accept all incoming SMS messages.

(ii) The opposite, “Block all” will prevent the incoming SMS messages.

(iii) “Accept Phonebook only” enables the user to restrict the SMS messages confined to numbers/persons listed in the phonebook. Messages from unknown people will easily be blocked. sms_spam_manager2Nevertheless, this option has the risk of losing any important messages.

(iv) Blockade from even the blacklisted rules wherein three rules are given for the option: (a) Telephone number, by which all messages coming from such number will be blocked (b) Prefix number, by which all messages from a fixed prefix number will be blocked and (c) Text match, all messages carrying fixed phrases will be blocked.

Another advantage of this Manager is the Log feature which facilitates to view the messages blocked therein and to restore them in SMS Inbox, for future reference. SMS Spam Manager is highly compatible with Symbian 9.1 series 60 (III edition) mobiles.
